What Does Wellness Mean to You?

Wellness is defined as “the active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life. Wellness is more than being free from illness, it’s a dynamic process of change and growth.” But what does wellness mean to you? Does it mean nightly uninterrupted soaks in a Hot Spring Spa? Or does it mean incorporating a daily steam in your helo Sauna? Or maybe it means daily exercise in your Endless Pools Fitness System. However you see wellness, it’s important to recognize its power and role in a healthy lifestyle, as well as the ways in which you can ensure you’re investing in your personal wellness on a daily basis.

Purpose in Wellness

If you look up why wellness matters, you’ll be greeted with the same answer every time — “Wellness matters because everything we do and every emotion we feel is related to our well-being.” Wellness provides us a higher quality of life. Our actions and emotions are dependent on it, so it’s important to achieve optimal wellness in all that we do. So in an effort to combat the adverse effects of stress, illness, exhaustion, disease and anxiety, it’s imperative to provide yourself with ways to improve your wellness.

Hot tubs, saunas and swim spas play a key role in offsetting negative experiences or chronic pains and ailments by replacing them with ways in which you can focus on improving your wellness, even if it is just in that specific moment. A 5-, 10-, or 20-minute reprieve in a hot tub, sauna or swim spa can make all the difference between a good day or a bad day.

Physical Wellness

At Hot Spring Spas of Music City, we want to give you everything you need to find inner peace, experience relaxation and give your mind and body the moments of serenity it needs to recharge, relax and feel stronger. Sometimes that requires you to pay closer attention to your physical wellness. Physical wellness is made up of three things: physical activity, nutrition and mental well-being.

1. Physical Activity: For optimum physical wellness, engage in 30 minutes of physical activity a day. If you have a swim spa, jump in and get your exercise done. You can also complete exercises in your hot tub. Swimming, in any form, is an excellent source of physical activity.

2. Nutrition: Eating a variety of healthy foods and practicing portion control plays a vital role in positive nutrition habits. Not only does healthy nutrition help prevent illness, it also keeps your body functioning at its best.

3. Mental Well-Being: Once you take care of your physical activity and develop better eating habits, you’ll recognize a shift in your overall mental well-being. In addition to sharper thinking and learning practices, you’ll notice self-esteem and self-control also improve. One of the most effective ways to hone in on your mental well-being is to give yourself the time on a daily basis to relax in your hot tub or “sweat out” the stress in your sauna. Research has shown its effectiveness on your mental health.

Our Commitment to You

When we opened Hot Spring Spas of Music City in 2003, our top priority was providing people with a superior wellness experience to make sure every day was made better. We love to hear how we’ve made a difference in your life and wellbeing, as that is what we’re dedicated to most.

One of our customers recently shared how not a single day has passed since her hot tub purchase 10 years ago that she doesn’t give thanks for what it’s meant to her wellbeing.

“I have had my hot tub for 10 years now, and I still thank God for it every time I get in it. I have arthritis really bad in my back and neck. There’s not much more the doctor can do for me, but my hot tub gives me so much relief and helps me relax and eases the pain.

“It is a real blessing to me. When the pain wakes me up in the middle of the night, I get in for 20 minutes and I can go back to sleep. It’s a Godsend from my husband. If you have pain I definitely think you should invest in one. You’ll be so happy you did.”

The next time you soak in your hot tub, relax in your sauna or work out in your swim spa, think about what wellness means to you and how that investment has made a positive difference to your overall wellness. We invite you to reach out and share that experience with us. Give us a call or contact us to share more about your experience with your Hot Spring Spa, helo Sauna or Endless Pools Fitness System.

We love what we do and love hearing how it has helped you achieve a healthy balance of wellness even more.
