20th Anniversary with Hot Spring Spas of Music City & the Upper Cumberland
September 2003:
Dennis Croteau opened the doors of Hot Spring Spas of Music City as a single proprietor. The first showroom was located at 110 Signature Place, in the Signature Place shopping center in Lebanon, Tennessee. Spas carried included: Hot Spring Spas, Tiger River Spas, and Hot Spot Hot Tubs. Tiger River Spas were phased out and Limelight Spas replaced the Tiger River Collection. Dennis delivered and serviced hot tubs before and after business hours and on Sundays sold hot tubs during regular business hours. Dennis’ brother Kevin retired from the US Army after a 29+ year career and they formed an LLC in April 2007. In 2007 the Brothers brought on helo Saunas, both portable and custom cut saunas.
September 2008:
After 5 years in the 110 Signature Place location, they moved across the street into a bigger retail space in the K-Mart Shopping Center. In 2009, they purchased 3.8 acres of land at 2342 Highway 109 N, Lebanon, Tennessee. Construction began in September 2011 and they moved into their new flagship showroom in March 2012. This same year, Watkins Manufacturing purchased American Hydration Systems, the maker of the Freeflow and Dream Maker Spas and they added Freeflow Spas into their mix.
October 2012:
The expansion into Cool Springs began in October 2012 with an 1,800 SF showroom. They remained in Cool Springs for 5 years and then moved into a larger showroom space in Franklin where they have been since October 2017.
December 2014:
Hot Spring Spas of Music City continued its expansion when they opened Hot Spring Spas of the Upper Cumberland in December 2014 on Miller Avenue. In 2015 Watkins Manufacturing purchased Endless Pools, Aston, Pennsylvania and changed the name of the company from Watkins Manufacturing to Watkins Wellness. Watkins Wellness built 9 stand alone Endless Pools Fitness Systems. In 2017, the company added another product, Covana Covers. During the Spring of 2017 the Brothers broke ground for the new Crossville showroom at 3820 Peavine Road, Crossville, Tennessee. Once the construction was completed in August 2018, they moved in.
December 2021:
In 2021, the Brothers continued their expansion into Murfreesboro. They purchased the old Capital Bank at 1470 S Church Street and converted the bank into another Hot Spring Spa showroom. The renovations were completed in June 2023. In 2023, the company started to sell Smartops manufactured by Leisure Concepts.
September 2023:
They will celebrate their 20th Anniversary this September 2023 with four showrooms and 32 associates! The Croteau Brothers have come a long way in 20 years and look forward to the next 20 years! Dennis and Kevin Croteau would like to thank all of their valued customers over the years and look forward to continuing as the “Wellness Headquarters in Middle Tennessee”!
