Benefits of a FreshWater Salt System
The innovative, intuitive FreshWater Salt System provides better quality water with less work and hassle. Available on all Highlight and Limelight Collection spas, the FreshWater Salt System allows you to spend less time caring for your hot tub, and more time relaxing with your loved ones. So let’s lay out some benefits of our exclusive water care system, as well as some tips for FreshWater Salt System owners.
Freshwater Salt System Benefits
Easier maintenance and affordability are key components of Hot Spring Spas water-saving solutions. The FreshWater Salt System makes for a modest chlorine-generated salt system, increasing the value of your spa while decreasing the cost. The high quality and budget-friendly design of the FreshWater Salt System makes owning a Highlife or Limelight model more appealing.
Unique, patent-pending technology makes the FreshWater Salt System the best quality saltwater system for hot tubs. The easy-to-use FreshWater Salt System eliminates the fear of keeping your spa water clean. The titanium cartridge creates chlorine from salt to sanitize your hot tubs’ water. Because the FreshWater Salt System generates chlorine automatically, you’ll spend less time measuring and adding chemicals. The extraordinary system makes spa ownership easier than ever by removing the hassle of lengthy water care maintenance.
Water conservation is the number one factor in salt system innovation. To remain an industry leader, Hot Spring Spas has continued to strive for consumer and economic efficiency. The FreshWater Salt System is designed to keep your spa water clean for a full year.* Preserving spa water for an entire year is 3x longer than other water care systems. Gone are the days of wasting water and money to continually drain and refill your spa!
*Many factors affect the life of spa water, such as bather load and water chemistry. With proper maintenance and all factors accounted for, the FreshWater Salt System will keep your water clean and clear for a full year.
Water Care Tips
One of the bigger water care concerns revolves around phosphates. Phosphates are generally harmless and are found in many household products such as detergents, lotions, makeup, and shampoo. If phosphates reach a certain level in your hot tub, you could see your water get cloudy or slightly green. A common misconception that owners will think is that their salt system isn’t producing sanitizer, when in fact there’s simply a high phosphate level which prevents a consistent sanitizer level. Adding a small amount of phosphate remover every week is a great way to protect your water and keep it clean and clear.
The accumulation of scale caused by high levels of calcium hardness can be detrimental to hot tub components like the jet pumps and heater, as well as to the electrodes on the FreshWater Salt System cartridge. Ensure that your calcium hardness levels are within the 25-75 ppm range, with an optimum target of 50 ppm.
5-Way Test Strips
It is recommended to test and balance your spa water before each use and weekly when not in use. The FreshWater Salt System will remind owners via the control panel every 10 days to check and balance the spa water and confirm the Output Level.
