Saunas
How do I prevent perspiration stains?
To prevent perspiration stains, sit or lay on a towel.
What temperature is a sauna set to?
A conventional or traditional sauna can be set somewhere between 175-185 degrees Fahrenheit while an infrared sauna is usually set around 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
How do I clean my sauna?
Don’t use scouring pads or harsh chemicals to clean a sauna. Instead, use a soft towel soaked in mild soap and water. If you want to remove perspiration stains you will need to sand the benches with fine-grain sandpaper.
If I’m sick, can I use the sauna?
Avoid saunas if you are fatigued, dizzy, or dehydrates. You should always consult a physician if you are unsure. However, there is evidence that saunas help to alleviate cold and flu symptoms.
How are a traditional (conventional) sauna and an infrared sauna different?
A traditional sauna heats the air with both heat and steam while an infrared sauna heats objects using invisible Electromagnetic Spectrum light waves.
How long can I sit in a sauna?
You should not sit in a sauna for more than 15 minutes, but to really benefit you need at least 5 minutes.
